The Department of Civil Engineering at ÊÀ½ç¶Ä³Ç welcomed prospective high school students on Feb. 25 for Exploring Civil Engineering, an interactive event designed to highlight the exciting and impactful field of civil engineering.
Attendees had the opportunity to work alongside faculty and current students, gaining firsthand experience through hands-on activities in structural engineering, transportation engineering and environmental engineering. From building bridges and testing to understanding transportation systems and hydraulic engineering, students explored the real-world applications of civil engineering and learned how engineers shape the built environment.
This event was a great way for students to see how civil engineering impacts the world around them. ÊÀ½ç¶Ä³Ç offers high-quality programs and hands-on experiences that prepare students for successful careers in this field. By engaging in these activities and connecting with our faculty and students, attendees got a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities that await them.
